Art & design are an integral part of what makes travel and our world so amazing. From beautifully designed spaces to public art and everything in between this section of XPLORIST is dedicated to the creatives that make our world so vibrant. We can’t imagine a world without those who break free of the norm and give us all the opportunity to enjoy and experience their creations.
Whether you are an artist or know someone who you think we should showcase, let us know.
Baptiste has created unique and stunning spaces worldwide from private residences to commercial projects.
Inspired by Art Deco, Balinese, Moroccan Interiors, and contemporary design, he enjoys mixing different eras to produce unique and serene spaces.
We first found his art on Instagram and have been a fan ever since. The surreal settings and the grandiose ambition of his art projects are like nothing else we have ever seen.
We love his behind-the-scenes videos that give us a glimpse into his art form and the planning that goes into it.
His ability to combine the art of adventure within his work is unique and inspiring.
We absolutely love her screen printing series which, the use of colour and the collage style of her work would be a welcome addition to any room.
Colette is also a talented sculptor and has been featured galleries across Europe.
Thomas, who works under the name of Thomas Fotomas, is a talented photographer with a skill to turn typical photography into works of art. Using his own digital techniques he is using images of the sky, ocean and surfers and creating dream like scenarios that will leave you in awe.
Mostly shot in Hossegor, south of France, Thomas uses very long exposure and creative photo filters to tweak his final colors, and the result is nothing short of breathtaking.
Ememem creates mosaics incorporating geometric motifs in cracked sidewalks and façades. They describe this art as “a poem that everybody can read” and “a memory notebook of the city”
We love public art and find his work really interesting as it takes over cracked and broken areas of the city and creates these beautiful works of art, that take on unique shapes and can be found all over Lyon, France as well as parts of Europe including Spain, Italy and Norway.
